Taking pictures was just a thing a did to remember events. I thought of it as a form of journaling. For years, that interest was a hobby, expressed through various point-and-shoot cameras. But in 2022, a spark was lit. My brother-in-law introduced me to his professional equipment, and I suddenly saw the craft in a new light. The potential to create truly powerful images was right in front of me. I took the leap and bought my first "real" camera in 2023.
But the fall of 2024, under the bright stadium lights of a high school football game, that everything truly clicked. Photographing sporting events with hope of coming away with a great shot was just an incredible rush. It's more than that, and something I still can't put my finger on. But the photography bug had truly bitten me, and it bit me hard.
That single game set off a whirlwind year. I became obsessed with capturing every story I could find. If there was an event happening—football, basketball, wrestling, a groundbreaking ceremony, a town parade—I wanted to be there.
That journey has led me here. Taylor Douglass Photography was born from this relentless passion for documenting life as it unfolds. My goal is to bring that same energy from the sidelines to your event, your game, or your portrait session. I’m here to capture the authentic, unscripted moments that tell your story, creating a tangible piece of your history.

One of my old point and shoots from 2005. A Sony Cyber-Shot.
